We are the organization of more than 300 proud United States Naval Academy alumni who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender joined by our supporters and friends. We are dedicated to doing our part to support the mission of the U. S. Naval Academy in providing excellence in the development and training of our nation's future leaders. We also strive for providing a path for "reconnection" for the many GLBT USNA alumni who have over time been disassociated from the U. S. Naval Academy and the USNA Alumni Association because of their sexuality or gender identity.
Out Of Annapolis
Although most, if not all, of our members want to see an early end to the outdated, cruel and harmful "Don't Ask Don't Tell" Policy, political activism is not within the mission of this alumni affinity group. We are here for the genuine support of each other and for those who follow in our footsteps as Officers and future Officers in the US Navy and Marine Corps.

Campus Pride at US San Diego
USNA Out participated in the second-ever college admissions fair aimed at LGBT high schoolers at UC San Diego. For most of the 45 participating colleges -- such as Princeton University, Stanford University, Yale, Penn State, and UC San Diego -- the event was a perfect opportunity for them to advertise their fair and equal policies in recruiting the best and brightest of young gay Americans. USNA Out members attended to informed young gay Americans of the pros and cons of pursuing an appointment to a United States service academy.

The second USNA Out "National Meeting" was held on Army-Navy Friday, 30 November 2007 in Memorial Hall. Seven alumni were able to attend the a second "Left Coast Edition" of the national meeting held in San Francisco on Sunday, 16 December.

Class of 2010 Legacy Campaign
Our first major fundraising campaign, the “Class of 2010 Legacy Campaign” has the goal to raise $201,000 by December 31, 2010.
Although any gifts made to the USNA Foundation on behalf of USNA Out would be “Unrestricted” - we would expect the funds to go towards a critically important program such as the International Programs Office where US Naval Academy midshipmen greatly benefit from the direct exposure to or immersion in diverse cultures.
One goal of our 2010 campaign is for USNA Out to become a major corporate partner of the USNA Alumni Association and Foundation's “President's Circle.” Gifts to USNA Out of any size are appreciated to assist us in reaching this very important milestone.
