Larry grew up in Alabama, studied Mechanical Engineering at USNA, and was a Trident Scholar. Upon graduation, he selected Civil Engineering Corp.

During his almost six years of service, Larry served as Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction at the U. S. NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY NAPLES, ITALY and as a company commander with NMCB-1 in Biloxi, MS. Larry then returned to school, earning an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.

Upon earning his MBA degree, Larry joined Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. In 1998, he relocated to San Diego where he joined software maker Intuit, maker of Turbotax, Quicken, and Quickbooks.

Larry and his partner of 15 years, Rodney, live in San Diego with their three adopted children. Free time is spent coaching Tball, volunteering at school, and snowboarding every winter. The family is currently restoring an historic house in the historic area of San Diego.
