While it was difficult to look back at the Naval Academy after leaving so soon I finally was able to reconnect both with my straight and LGBT classmates and fellow alumni after a few short years. I continue to be active in the USNA community through USNA Out, the Foundation, and most of my friends here in New York City.

I look forward to continuing to expand USNA Out and the friendships that come along with it. I’m grateful for what the Academy was able to teach me in just two short years and how its positively impacted my life every since.
