This short interview was shot during President’s Circle weekend in Annapolis in September. And I actually shot another video of Steve being filmed! Look for that in the “making of. . .” Three USNA Out members were able to attend the President’s Circle event this year. Read the earlier USNA Out report about that very productive weekend.

So how did Steve ever reconnect to the Academy? It was USNA Out member Linda Postenrieder who met Steve while they were working at a waterstop with San Francisco FrontRunners for a half marathon in 1999. Steve thought it was odd to have anything to do with the Alumni Association at the time. But it was the feeling of “safety in numbers” or “not being the only one” that broke down the barrier so Steve could reconnect with his USNA heritage.

Hey Steve, how about a needed update of our project??
